Certified Application Environment
To ensure the best user experience and the highest security, we support the environments listed below. We always recommend running the latest version of your operating system.
How we decide what is supported
On iOS we follow Apple's own support guidance, because Apple itself stops issuing security updates for older versions. On Android we go wider, and support considerably further back than Google does.
That is a deliberate choice. Inspections are carried out on whatever devices the workplace already has, and a tablet in a service department or on a building site often stays in use for years. Our app should not be the thing that forces a replacement.
We still recommend running the newest version you can. The requirements on this page apply to both apps.
Computer
We recommend Google Chrome for all browser-based functionality, because it is the browser all development is based on. Formally, we support:
- Google Chrome
- Safari (for Apple devices)
- Microsoft Edge
- Firefox
Android
We support Android 7 and newer.
iOS and iPadOS
We support iOS 15 / iPadOS 15 and newer. That means any iPhone or iPad that can update to at least iOS 15.
You can check which version a device is running under Settings → General → About.
